AIRWALK
$300M Shoe company -- #1 among Snowboard/Skateboard teens.

Marketing Season Preview
While we've done many projects for AIRWALK, this was one of the most challenging, both because of the timeline and the variety of materials to be included. Frame grabs from a California post production facility came on Zip disks while a box full of magazine clippings came from a P.R. firm. Meanwhile slides, chromes, 3x5s, and 8x10s were delivered by courier. Agency ads were FedExed on Syquests. Copy came in by fax, email, on disk and was hand delivered. All of it needed to be assembled within a week for a worldwide marketing/sales group meeting. The first short run was generated on an Agfa ChromaPress and critiqued at the meeting. After alterations, the page files went back to a color house where any questionable images were rescanned, film was generated and sent off to another print shop for a 10k run.

From a design perspective the challenge was to make the pages of press clippings look like they belonged in the same book with the agency ads. Page after page of rescreens and not a moiré in the bunch.
